Colorado Springs Engagement : Amanda & Tyler
Friday, March 09, 2012

Amanda and Tyler are planning an October wedding at the Air Force Academy Chapel and I photographed their engagement sitting Sunday. Amanda and Tyler graduated from the same high school in New Mexico, but met each other via Facebook after high school. That's where they began their courtship and fell in love. Amanda works as an interior designer in Denver. Tyler is a graduate of the Air Force Academy and stationed in Oklahoma. Amanda and Tyler love Colorado and wanted their engagement photos to reflect that. We photographed at Rock Ledge Ranch, one of my favorite spots, and finished with sunset at Garden of the Gods with a view of Pikes Peak. Sean came along to help and even took some pictures of Amanda and Tyler with some old black and white film. Can you tell which pictures were made using film? It was a wonderful afternoon spent with new friends and the pictures came out beautifully. Thank you both for inviting me to photograph your wedding day. I can't wait! - Cathy

Alexis and Eric are planning a wedding in May at Lions Gate Event Center. They met during an anatomy class
in med school and are now finishing up their last year in school. Alexis grew up in Colorado Springs and found us online. Here's part of a wonderful note she wrote to me, "Your photography is unbelievable. We love the soft yet clean finish of your photos and your ability to truly capture a moment. We are both from Colorado and the locations of your photos really capture the beauty of Colorado, which is something that has become very important to us. It's just something about those mountains that touch your soul!" Nothing more enjoyable than a note like that before I have even photographed them. So, we settled on a time and place and made some beautiful pictures right before a fall snow storm. Thank you both for a wonderful afternoon and I truly hope you enjoy your engagement pictures! — Sean

and what a day it was! It seems as though we are in a perpetual "Indian Summer" and I am photographing as many engagements as I can before winter's first storm. Maragaret and Joshua are planning a September wedding at the Chapel at the
