Pikes Peak Wedding : Tammy & Byran

Tammy and Bryan were married at Crystal Lake in a small afternoon ceremony on Tuesday, May 10, 2011. They chose that date because it was the anniversary of their courtship. Needless to say I don't do a lot weddings in the middle of the week, but boy was this a good one! Tammy and Bryan adore the mountains and wanted a wedding with the perfect mountain setting. Crystal Lake on the Pikes Peak Highway was that setting. After their wedding, Tammy and Bryan took a break from their guests and I joined them high up on the Pikes Peak Highway where we made some really dramatic photographs. We rejoined their guests later for cocktails on the patio at the Cliff House in Manitou Springs and then a private dinner reception. It was an incredible wedding and I had so much fun. Tammy and Bryan were married on Tuesday, May 10, 2010 on the anniversary of their courtship at Crystal Lake. The lake sits along Pikes Peak Highway about halfway to the top of Pikes Peak. Tammy and Bryan decided on this location for a small intimate ceremony with just a few family and friends. They both love the mountains. From the shortline, the snow covered north face of Pikes Peak sits above the lake. After their ceremony, Tammy and Bryan took a break from their guests to go toward the top and we made some dramatic photographs. I especially like this one (above) of Tammy and Bryan kissing at Devil's Playground - so named because of how lightning jumps from rock to rock during a thunderstorm.
