Mayan Riviera, Mexico in HDR using an iPhone 5

Cathy and I recently traveled with friends to the small fishing village of Akumal, Mexico on the Mayan Riviera for a vacation. This year is our 10-year wedding anniversary and we wanted to get away before the start of our busy season. The Mayan Riviera sits on the Caribean. Sunrises in the morning, white sand beaches and tropical weather make it a truly magical destination. I photographed our trip using my new iPhone 5 and the Pro HDR application. The new iPhone has an excellent camera, one that produces beautiful image files that can be printed quite large. Funny story: Eating dinner at the Al Cielo restaurant I photographed, informally, a wedding happening right in front of the restaurant! Not sure if I could pull that off here:) We had so much fun that we decided next year we're taking the kids. Big thanks to our friends Teri and Jeff who were married here six years ago and invited us down here for the week. Denver Engagement : Keil and Joey

I photographed Keil and Joey's engagement sitting at the Oxford Hotel in downtown Denver. Keil and Joey are planning a New Year's Eve wedding at The Broadmoor. We started the sitting walking around LODO in the late afternoon and then Keil and Joey changed into evening wear and found a beautiful location overlooking Denver. Celebrations by Maggie is helping Keil and Joey plan their New Year's Eve wedding. Thank you both for a wonderful afternoon. I can't wait for your wedding day! — Sean

Colorado Springs Engagement : Beth and Jake

I photographed Beth and Jake's Colorado Springs engagement Saturday. They are planning an August wedding at Shove Chapel with a reception at Stewart House on the campus of Colorado College. Beth and Jake are low-key and very relaxed about their wedding day. They want it to be fun for everyone and for that reason Beth and Jake are planning a small, more intimate wedding. We photographed around the CC campus, visiting the Stewart House and the CC garden, and then we caught an amazing sunset at the Garden fo the Gods. Thank you both for such a great afternoon. Bonnie and Kelly's Ultimate Wedding Book arrived from Italy and it's wonderful! The book has a polished metal cover and some fabulous picture selections. Bonnie and Kelly were married on a beautiful late summer day at The Broadmoor's Lakeside Terrace. A reception in the Lakeside Terrace dining room followed the ceremony. Celebrations by Maggie help to plan their wedding day. Design Works provided the incredible floral decor. — Cathy

Colorado Springs Engagement : Ali and Joe

I photographed Ali and Joe's Colorado Springs engagement Saturday. They are planning a September wedding at the Garden of the Gods Club. Joe proposed to Ali with his guitar so we decided to visit Tejon Street Music. Then we headed to the club to enjoy the sunset and finished an awesome afternoon and evening with drinks at the Swirl Wine Bar in Manitou Springs. Thank you both for such a great afternoon.
